In no particular order, here are some highlights from the sessions that I was able to create last year. You can see my Bump, Birth, Baby images at Simply Sweet Moments Photography.
Mary had contacted me in early November to see if I would be able to document some family memories for them during the Christmas break. People were coming in from out of town for Christmas so a couple days we met down at the beach and it was such a perfect day! Mary said it had been at least 10 years since the last time they had taken professional photographs and they all enjoyed the session we had together.
My friend Sabrina asked if I could do their family session at their new home. We were going to do some pictures inside but their kitchen was non existent due to a remodel so we just hung out in their backyard. I love In (at) home sessions as it just seems to add that extra bit of personal touch to their images.
Taryn contacted me during my maternity break from having our little Charlotte, to see if I would be able to capture some 1st birthday pictures of her little Declan. We made it into a 1st Birth/Mommy and Me (it was close to Mother’s Day) kind of session. We caught some sweet moments for her!
I met up with Audriana right before she graduated from High School to start her new education adventure at Hope University. She’s such a neat a driven young lady!
Irene had contacted me to do a session of her and her husband Vinny. They had never had professional photographs taken of them, not even on their wedding day so I was totally honored to be able to create some sweet images for them close to their 6 year anniversary; and isn’t her ring gorgeous! She left me some amazingly sweet words that I will have to ask her if I can share.
We’ve known the Fileto family for quite some time (my husband grew up with Cesar) so it’s always nice to get together and document some sweet memories for them when they ask me to. I’m so excited for them as during this shoot I learned that Jennie was expecting their third! I can’t wait to photograph her baby bump and their baby girl!
Mini sessions are great for having a Best Friend session! I’ve photographed Joy and Jen’s little girls when they were newborns. I think they came out so sweet and I hope they do this yearly! 😉
Suzi told me that they hadn’t had professional pictures taken since her and Dan were married and even those pictures were not what she had hoped they would be. I asked Suzi if their son Owen had a favorite toy and she told me that he just loves his new golf club. Isn’t that the cutest thing!?
I’ve been able to photograph my friend Tess’ family since her oldest was about a year old (she’s now 8!) and the last couple years the sessions have been with their extended families. This year it was the 6 of them and when I asked her where she wanted to go for their session she said “not nature” so we met in a non naturey location. The Benson’s are always fun to hangout with and always up for any suggestions I make in documenting their family and the kids are adorable.
I met up with the Mattey family who had not had family pictures taken since their youngest (Jude) was just a baby. Melissa is an amazing midwife (she caught our Charlotte) and if you’re curious you should check her out at Little Twig Midwifery.
Be on the lookout for announcements on The Motherhood Memories sessions that I will be offering soon.
Today I’m looking forward to meeting my students and sharing my love of photography with them during the Photo 101 class!
Have a blessed week!
